Pet dealer busted – kitten rescued!

Baby offered for 250 euros

Now minors are being used for the illegal trade in baby animals! Employees of the animal protection organization Peta came across a dubious offer for sale on the Internet.

At the handover point in a dilapidated house on Karl-Marx-Strasse, a twelve-year-old boy received the bogus buyers. From his jacket he took out the kitten offered for 250 euros. After further investigation, the team found a second kitten in the merchant family’s home.

“The two kittens were in a worrying state of health, malnourished and completely weak,” said PETA spokeswoman Jana Holger.

The animal rights activists alerted the police, the kittens came to the home. The investigations against the dealers are ongoing.
