Peskov: The Kremlin does not intend to interfere in the situation with Kadyrov and the family of the ex-judge of the Chechen Supreme Court

The Kremlin does not see the need to monitor the situation with the accusations against the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, law enforcement agencies are clearly doing their job, said presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

“If we are talking about the safety, life and health of people, then this is the topic of law enforcement agencies, this is not the topic of the Kremlin. There is no need for the Kremlin to watch this. Law enforcement agencies perform their functions and do it very clearly, ”he said (quoted from “RIA News”).

On January 20, armed men in civilian clothes and masks broke into the apartment where Saidi Yangulbayev, a former judge of the Supreme Court of Chechnya, lived with his wife, Zarema Musaeva, and presented a decision of the Chechen investigation to forcibly bring them in for questioning. They took Musayeva to Grozny. The Kremlin called the incident a “fantastic story.”

After this incident, Kadyrov said that the ex-judge’s family “is waiting for a place either in prison or underground.” The head of Chechnya explained that the Yangulbaev family may have been involved in organizing an attack on a former Chechen security official in Turkey, so if they resist, they should be “destroyed” as accomplices of terrorists.
