Russia is experiencing the largest sanctions load in history, Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said on the air of the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“We see such a frenzy of sanctions hobbies – the largest sanctions burden in history now falls on the Russian Federation,” he said.
Peskov pointed to “the erosion of confidence in the dollar and the euro” when he spoke of the arrests of Russia’s foreign exchange reserves.
“More and more countries, having doubts about the reliability of the dollar and the euro, tend to develop options and work out options for mutual settlements of national currencies,” Peskov said.
According to him, in the long term the world will come to a new system of mutual settlements, which will differ from the Bretton Woods system.
