Peruvian authorities imposed the first fine of more than $121,000 on the Spanish company Repsol for failing to comply with the requirements to eliminate the consequences of an oil spill that occurred in January at its facility north of Lima. “The fine imposed on Repsol is <...> 460 thousand Peruvian salts (over $ 121 thousand – RBC). This measure will be consistently applied until the fulfillment of obligations to eliminate the consequences, ”the ministry said in a statement.
