PErugia, 26 Jun. (askanews) – The new edition of “Italy in frame”, the itinerant project of Corepla – National Consortium for the collection, recycling and recovery of plastic packaging – designed to promote the importance of conscious recycling and at the same time telling the beauties of our country, kicked off from Perugia. In the Umbrian capital, in Piazza del Melo, interactive urban installation was inaugurated, consisting of a frame and two information panels made entirely of recycled plastic, created by the artist Ale Giorgini.
By framing the QR Code present in the panels, citizens and tourists, they will be able to access all the useful information on how, where and when to correctly give plastic packaging in the city separate collection. To explain the installation, the communication manager of Corepla Eleonora Brionne:
“In addition to the frame we have two qr code panels that actually tell how plastic must be conferred. On another panel it is also possible to access information that the Municipality makes available regarding the methods of collecting the city of Perugia”.
An initiative that also finds the support of the Municipality of Perugia, in fact the commissioner for the environment and urban regeneration David Grohmann was present:
“For us this remains a very important theme, above all the theme the struggle, the abandonment of refusal is a very very central theme in our action therefore every activity is welcome especially if well structured and built like this that helps us to make correct information”.
Finally, the role of Gestuu, manager of environmental hygiene services of the Municipality of Perugia is very important. The coordinator of Gestuu for Umbria Fabrizio Valocchia speaks of their plant:
“This system given its technological importance manages to have a waste in flow A, which is the most important flow, a minimum waste of 10 percent and this waste however does not go to landfills, because we can recover this waste by sending it to extra regional plants that allow the recovery of energy and matter”.
A smart and innovative way to encourage knowledge of good recycling practices, with the aim of also and above all to young people and new generations.
