Personal record Klaver, third place in debut for Van Diepen in Paris

Lieke Klaver has improved her personal record in the 400 meters. The athlete from Venhuizen rushed to a time of 50.80 seconds in a Diamond League match on Saturday evening. That gave her a fifth place in Paris, Shaunae Miller-Uibo was first in 50.10.

Recently Klaver broke all her PR in the Czech Ostrava by crossing the line after 50.90 seconds. As a result, she also qualified for the World Cup in Eugene, America.

Tony van Diepen made his Diamond League debut on Saturday-evening. The athlete from Heerhugowaard will not soon forget this, because he finished third and improved his PR in the 800 meters. He crossed the finish line after 1:44.14, while he ran 1:44.24 four days ago in Turku, Finland. Like Klaver, Van Diepen had already qualified for the World Cup before.
