Soon to be 37 years old Perparim Hetemaj played his farewell match on Thursday in HJK’s blue and white striped home shirt.
Earlier this week, the midfielder said that his illustrious playing career will end this season.
Instagram post a Finnish freestyle athlete immediately arrived in the comment section Abdul Hussein. He asked Hetemaj about a free match when his football career ends.

– I haven’t yet, but honestly I’m interested! That will be my project for next year. I’m trying to see if I’m a coach first. At least I’m a big fan of the sport, I like freestyle a lot.
Hetemaj told about his free match plans last year Ilta-Sanom in the interview.

300 matches in the Italian Serie A, 49 matches in the Finnish A national team, two Finnish championships in HJK.
Hetemaj’s career merit list is really tough. Especially the appreciation that Hetemaj earned in Italy is completely exceptional.
– Almost everything went as I hoped. When I went abroad at a young age, I hoped for a much more glamorous career and bigger things. Now that I have seen and traveled the journey, I understand how difficult it is. My starting points weren’t the easiest, but I’d say it’s okay. Ok plus, he said.
The look remained even after the farewell match with basic readings in front of the media. There was no great emotional storm.
HJK goalkeeper Niki Mäenpää believed that Thursday night was special with feeling for the living Hetemaj.
– After all, it is a remarkable career. Hardly any Finn will reach 300 Serie A games in the near future. He too has had difficult times in his career, but he has turned them into victories. It was really great to be able to play with Perpa in the Club.
– A big hat off to Perpa. I have followed his career with admiration, Mäenpää beamed.
As Hetemaj said earlier, a new chapter begins in his football career. Next season, he will be part of the coaching team of HJK’s second team Klubi 04.
– I have a certain role in it. The new head coach will handle most of it. I try to help him while I want to help the players develop.
– At least I try hard to tell the players that dreams can come true if you are ready to work for them. It’s simple, but sometimes difficult because there are many entrepreneurs. Then it’s up to the little things, Hetemaj opened.
He will hang the studded shoes on a nail in a couple of weeks. HJK’s season ends with the Conference League match against PAOK.
– We will stay in Greece for a few days. I wish Mäenpää would offer business there. He has to offer. We’ve known each other for so long. We used to go to training on the same 522K bus back in the day. I still have my birthday when we are in Greece. Let’s see if Niki is a good person, Hetemaj elaborated.
