Who will be President and Co. at Hertha BSC? After the resignations of Boss Werner Gegenbauer (71), Vice President Thorsten Manske (57) and Executive Committee member Norbert Sauer (71), successors are being sought.
The by-elections will only take place at the extraordinary general meeting on June 26th. But it’s already happening from today!
From Monday afternoon, the Bundesliga club will have what is probably a unique head casting at Hertha! Starting in the afternoon, around a dozen applicants will be heard one after the other – in aptitude interviews before the supervisory board!
The current member of the Executive Committee opens beforehand Ingmar Pering (56) the hot Hertha Monday.
Pering to the BZ: “I would like to announce that I have decided to run for the office of President!”
Attorney Pering continues: “I believe that the current situation at Hertha BSC makes it absolutely necessary for us to pool and unite all the existing strengths of the club again. With my 20 years of association activity, I bring with me the necessary experience and the necessary knowledge of the association’s internal structures and the corporation that a president must have.”
Who else wants to be President?
entrepreneur Kay Bernstein (41) was proposed as president and is also running for the post of chief. He is presenting himself to the supervisory board today. There should be other candidates.

Hertha BSC
Fabian Drescher, previously a simple member of the Executive Committee, announced his candidacy on Sunday. Due to his previous closeness to fans, there are rumors that he could form a dual leadership team with Kay Bernstein, formerly the capo of a Hertha Ultra group.
Peer Mock-Sümer (54) is also a simple member of the presidency and was last traded as a possible candidate for the presidency. According to BZ information, he is now running for vice and should then be the man at Ingmar Pering’s side.
Hertha’s big boss casting begins!
Many other external candidates will present themselves to the Supervisory Board today. And that’s just the first round of casting.
The deadline for further candidates for the five posts to be awarded (1x president, 1x vice-president, 3x assessors) does not end until next Sunday…
