Tens of thousands of festival-goers will be back in Drouwenermond this weekend. After two corona years without a festival, it’s Boerenrock again. The crazier the better.
The rows of tractors, caravans and trailers have been lined up near the festival site since yesterday afternoon. The first camping guests come from Middenbeemster in North Holland. With small eyes, Jacob van Twisk and Niels van Vuure park their black and red caravan on the spot. “I’m still a bit rotten actually,” says Niels. The two had been in Drouwenermond since five o’clock yesterday afternoon. “We waited all night in front of the gate and were the first.”
