Twelve apartments, three penthouses and a villa will be built on Stationsstraat in Coevorden. The residential complex will be named Residentie De Remise, after the original destination of the place: the EDS tram depot. Sales will start next month.
Six apartments of about 72 square meters on the ground floor, six of the same on top and the top floor is divided into three luxury penthouses of about 120 square meters. These are the plans outlined by Maarten Otten of real estate agency Otten & Flim from Rijssen. The house next door is being converted into a spacious villa.
There will be a parking lot for residents and visitors at the back, with the entrance on Van Eijbergenstraat. Each apartment has its own storage room. The price of the apartments starts at around 300,000 euros.
Until November last year, a daytime activity was located in the residential house called Carpe Diem on the site of the residential complex to be built. The building next door stood empty for years after the Pieper car company had left it. The building once served as a tram depot for the Eerste Drentsche Stoomtramweg company.
The sale with completion guarantee of the owner-occupied apartments and penthouses will start next month. Depending on that, the demolition and construction work will start.
