Penalty used by Addai not enough in Breda, Young AZ down against NAC

Young AZ failed to beat NAC Breda. Two quick goals from Dominik Janosek before the break passed the verdict for the young Alkmaar promises. A goal from Jayden Addai was not enough: 2-1.

Jong AZ, this season led by Jan Sierksma, started the season on Monday with a 1-0 win over Jong FC Utrecht. Jayden Addai then was the match winner with a hit. Despite a number of small chances for both teams, no goals were scored in Breda for a long time before the break. However, it went completely wrong for the Alkmaar promises five minutes before the break. First, Mischa Engel caused a penalty, which was used by Dominik Janosek: 1-0. Moments later, the Czech was also the maker of the 2-0.

Young AZ came back into the game in the final phase. That was after a handball from Cuco Martina, who remained injured. Addai was allowed to moor after a short break and scored: 2-1. The youngsters from Alkmaar were no longer able to equalise, despite the long injury time (6 minutes!). After two matches, Young AZ is stuck on three points.

The next match for Jong AZ is against Telstar on Monday, August 28. Kick-off is at 8 p.m.
