Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf: Opening in Bonn postponed

The insolvent Peek & Cloppenburg KG, Düsseldorf, has postponed the opening of the new store in Bonn.

The location was actually supposed to open its doors last Thursday. However, the Düsseldorf fashion retailer is “in a special situation” because of the protective shield procedure, according to a spokesman. “As expected, such a procedure can lead to delays in the operational business.” The specialist magazine Textilwirtschaft had previously reported on this.

After “a short break”, the company is working on the store again, according to Düsseldorf. As a result, the opening is expected in “a few weeks”. However, P&C did not announce an exact date.

It is already the second store that will not open as planned. As early as mid-March – shortly after the insolvency became known – the fashion retailer announced that its ‘Conscious Fashion’ store in Berlin was still planned, but that the opening had been postponed.
