Pedro Pascal: This is his favorite band and one of his favorite songs
The Cure was particularly impressed. Asked for a song by the band, which he would wish for on the radio, Pascal called the classic “Just Like Heaven” from 1987 without hesitation. Even in previous interviews, the actor had revealed his affection for the British band.
Pedro Pascal was a theater nerd
In the further course of the conversation with the BBC, Pascal was asked if he himself had a goth phase. “I didn’t do it. I wish I had done it, but I just didn’t have the courage,” he replied, “I was like a little theater nerd. But I went to a school where all the students of the visual arts had this look. With Mascara and Nailack, the first club I went into was a gothic club, it was a party with my friend, and I went with my friend, and we danced.
Further love of love for The Cure
It was only at the beginning of July that Pascal showed up at the premiere of the musical “Evita” in the West End in London. He wore a T-shirt with the cover of the single “Boys Don’t Cry”. Another reference to his close connection to the music of The Cure.
Pascal also shows his connection to the band apart from interviews and red carpets. In November 2024, he was spotted together with “Fantastic Four” Co-Star Ebon Moss-Bachrach at a concert by The Cure in the Troxy in London. There the two actors danced during the band’s appearance. On Instagram, Pascal then shared a video of the performance of the “Plainsong” song from 1989.
In the caption, he quoted the song line “Sometimes you make me feel / like i’m Living at the edge of the world / ‘It’s just the way I smile,’ You Said” and added: “I have been waiting to see the live since 1989.”
