A pedestrian died this evening after a collision with a taxi on the Seineweg in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. The victim is a man, his age is not yet known. The police are investigating the accident.
The accident happened around 8 p.m. near the entrance to the De Bretten allotment park. Several emergency services, including a Mobile Medical Team (MMT), were called. The taxi driver was taken by the police for questioning, which is common in fatal traffic accidents.
