An 82-year-old resident of Breda died in hospital after being hit by a car in his hometown on Friday evening. This was reported by the police on Saturday morning.
The man was hit by a passenger car around a quarter to nine in the evening on Zwijnsbergenstraat. Emergency services arrived en masse.
The man was seriously injured and was treated at the scene by a trauma doctor, who landed with an air ambulance.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance. He died there shortly after arrival, police said.
