Pedestrian (21) critical after collision with car in Roeselare

The accident happened this morning at the Media Markt along Brugsesteenweg in Roeselare. A pedestrian was hit by a car. The woman (21) from Roeselare was taken to AZ Delta in critical condition.

One lane is currently blocked. An expert will be on site to investigate the circumstances of the accident. Eyewitnesses say the woman crossed the road at the zebra crossing but did not look very carefully.

There have been several accidents this week, five of which were fatal. Governor Carl Decaluwé says it is partly due to the beautiful weather. In June and July there are more accidents on the road.
