Pearl Jam in Berlin: How to get tickets now

All tickets for Pearl Jam in the Waldbühne already gone? Wait.

It was somehow clear: Shortly after advance sales started for the two Pearl Jam concerts at Berlin’s Waldbühne, there wasn’t much going on with Ticketmaster and Eventim. It seems as if all around 44,000 tickets (around 22,000 each per evening) were sold out immediately. Big disappointment among the fans, because the two gigs on July 2nd and 3rd, 2024 are, as things stand, the only ones by Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Matt Cameron, Stone Gossard and Mike McCready.

We list the most important questions here – and tips on how you might still be able to get tickets for the grunge heroes’ appearances.

Great, I didn’t get a ticket – neither from Ticketmaster nor Eventim…

It’s worth staying tuned at least on Friday (February 23rd) and checking the advance booking pages again and again. Quotas are often resupplied that have not been sold – for example because shopping carts have expired.

Could there be another, third concert in Berlin?

Pearl Jam have never given three concerts at the same location as part of a tour in Germany. Twice already: Most recently in 2012 in the O2 Arena (today: Mercedes-Benz Arena, soon to be Uber Arena) in Berlin.

There are currently two days off between the concert in London on June 29th and “Berlin 1” on July 2nd. Between “Berlin 2” on July 3rd and Barcelona (July 6th) too. Pearl Jam’s tour schedule reveals that there are always at least two days between performances – probably also because of the band members’ regeneration. It is not impossible, but unlikely, that Eddie Vedder and colleagues will announce a “Berlin 3”.

Ok, what about Viagogo and Co as an option?

Please leave it. The reseller market is opaque, and there are always court rulings that highlight the lack of seriousness of these second providers. Artists like Ed Sheeran, for example, do not recognize tickets purchased on Viagogo. This can lead to unpleasant surprises on site. Apart from the fact that there are always fake tickets that are sold there.

Refresh page!

Due to the continuous refreshing of the Eventim and Ticketmaster websites, it could be that tickets are shown as available again. This happens when the reservation of tickets expires because they were not purchased from Eventim within the given time.

Being patient pays off

Those who are not successful today and in the coming days do not have to give up hope. The closer the date gets, the more likely it is that more cards will be released for production reasons. This is because it can only be finally clarified later which seats in stadiums can still be released. Because each stage and any additional structures offer different requirements and enable a different view of the stage from the stands. There are also always buyers who offer their cards for resale. For example, because you have to adjust your vacation planning for July.

There was something about Euro 24, right?

Some fans lost their temper when the dates were announced. Because: The first Waldbühne gig, July 2nd, falls on a very specific Tuesday – the Tuesday of two round of 16 games in the European Football Championship, Euro 24. That means anyone who has already bought tickets for the European Championship will have to decide – Music by Pearl Jam or Sport.

On July 2nd there will be the game “Winner Group E” against “Third Group A/B/C/D” in Munich (6 p.m.). And that is definitely critical. Because Germany could play badly in its group, even lose against Scotland, and only finish third in the group – because Julian Nagelsmann’s team is in Group A. The prerequisite for this encounter on the Pearl Jam concert day is of course that the third-placed group A has a better point difference than the third group BD. Otherwise you can watch Pearl Jam without having to worry about missing the national team.

If Germany plays, the game – unless there is extra time – will end around 2o p.m. Then you can expect Pearl Jam on stage at the latest, because Curfew is at the Waldbühne at 10 p.m. If the game goes into extra time, there will be another 30 minutes plus a possible penalty shootout. Then Eddie Vedder can announce the winner from the stage as soon as his concert is over.

But that also means: If Germany plays on July 2nd, there will certainly be concertgoers who watch it on television and then no longer want to make the journey to the west of Berlin. This means tickets could end up on resale again.
