A peace walk is currently taking place from Dam Square to Museumplein. The participants call for ‘connection, compassion and humanity’.
The walk was organized by a group of fifteen women. The organization’s website states: “We are all deeply affected by the situation in the Middle East. The atrocities lead to a spiral of violence and dehumanization, with which connection and compassion further disappear from view. Also in our society the different perspectives lead to division. In the midst of all this, we create space for connection, compassion and humanity.”
The peace walk started at 4 p.m. on Dam Square in Amsterdam.
