Paula Koivuniemi wanted to accompany her friend on the Loir’s last journey

Paula Koivuniemi says that there has been a lot of sadness in her life in recent years.

Singer Paula Koivuniemi arrived as an artist Vesa-Matti Loirin for the funeral at St. John’s Church in Helsinki.

Koivuniemi burst into tears already in the church yard. He described his friend as a “warm person”.

– Vesku was a friend for decades, we even recorded duets. We got to know each other already in the 1960s, and I sensed his charisma and talent at first glance. He was also loyal to his friends, Koivuniemi recalled emotionally.

Koivuniemi said that he was also sad because of his late brother.

– It’s such a sad feeling. I still mourn my police brother, Matti died a couple of years ago. I am completely broken by sadness, Koivuniemi continued.

The singer said that she gets the most joy and comfort in the midst of sadness from dogs.

– I also walk the neighbors’ dogs, I get exercise and the animals are so sincere, Koivuniemi stated.

Loir’s funeral was held on September 20 in South Helsinki at Johanneskirkja. Loir’s children were there, among others Sampo and Jenni Loirithe artist’s ex-wife Riitta Loirifellow actors Heikki Kinnunen and Esko Roine and Prime Minister Sanna Marin.
