Paul McCartney plays “She’s A Woman” at the start of his tour in Australia

On Wednesday (October 18), Paul McCartney opened his “Got Back” tour in Australia. While he was on stage at the Entertainment Center in Adelaide, he not only played solo tracks, but also some Beatles classics – including the hit “She’s A Woman”, which the musician performed live for the first time in almost two decades.

During the three-hour show, McCartney performed 39 songs. After the singer started the concert with the Beatles track “Can’t Buy Me Love”, the two Wings works “Junior’s Farm” and “Letting Go” followed. The 81-year-old’s fourth song was “She’s A Woman,” which was released in 1964 as the B-side of the single “I Feel Fine.” Paul McCartney last played the track at the Glastonbury Festival in June 2004.

The performance only included a total of seven of the musician’s solo numbers – including “Come On To Me”, “My Valentine” and “Maybe I’m Amazed”. The audience was able to enjoy some Beatles classics such as “Let It Be” and “Hey Jude” and Wings hits such as “Band On The Run” and “Live and Let Die”.

The singer’s tour continues in Melbourne on October 21st. Four performances follow until McCartney concludes his Australian shows in the city of Gold Coast on November 4th. The musician will then tour South America for the rest of the year.
