Paul de Leeuw’s TV career is in dire straits. People are zapping en masse for his program Busje Comes Zo and that must feel like a huge defeat. Yesterday he sank even further.

After 510 and 500 thousand viewers for the first two episodes, the third episode of Busje Komt Zo last night at half past nine reached only 447 thousand viewers (11 percent market share). This is a very bad score for NPO 1. For comparison: the evening average of the channel was 22 percent last week.

Crying my eyes out

The people who do watch are quite enthusiastic about Paul and his adventures. “Just Busje Comes Looking back. It was hilarious again,” says one. And the other: “Tears bursting with laughter at Busje Komt Zo. What a wonderful TV!”

Skilled TV viewer Victor Hopman is also enthusiastic. “This program really gets more fun by the week, wonderful.”

And another: “Paul de Leeuw in a wedding dress is the best thing you’ll see this year. I don’t care what others think. I think Busje Comes So simple, feel-good, uncomplicated and fun!”
