Patxi López assures that the PSOE “will dialogue and negotiate without feeding the noise” the law of ‘only yes is yes’

  • “We are going to carry out a response with all those who support the norm,” he says in Ermua

The PSOE spokesman in Congress, patxi lopez, has assured that the PSOE is going to “dialogue and negotiate” to correct the law of ‘only yes is yes’ “without feeding the noise”. On the other hand, he has accused the PP of presenting itself “as a savior” when it really “does not save anything” and is against the law, reports Europa Press.

The former lehendakari participated this Saturday in Ermua (Vizcaya), together with the candidate for the general council, Teresa Laespada, in the presentation as a candidate for re-election of the current socialist mayor, Juan Carlos Abascal.

López has underlined the “ideological difference between right and left.” In this sense, he has accused the right of “having its ideology incorporated” as standard with “its neoliberal recipes”, betting on “cuts and privatizations”. In contrast, he has defended the policies developed by the socialists in this legislature, “giving more to those who need it most” and asking “the rich to contribute more.”

In addition, he has assured that the PP “cannot speak about the people of this country” because it has voted against all the measures that have benefited the citizens and “they only make noise, which shows that they have no project, no leadership, nor are they an alternative.”

“This is the PP, this ridiculousness is the PP, and each of their insults is because there has been a policy of this government that has benefited someone. They insult and we continue to provide progress to citizens. They always protest because they do not govern because they believe that the government corresponds to them by divine right,” he said.

On the other hand, he has maintained that the law on sexual freedom is “a very good law that offers a comprehensive treatment, but that in its criminal aspect it has had some derivative that we have not liked”. this law so that this does not happen”.

“We are going to do it without continuing to feed the noise, without generating more suffering for the victims, we are going to dialogue and negotiate, and we are going to come up with a response with all those who support the law,” he announced.

In this context, he has accused the PP of presenting itself as a “savior” when it really “does not save anything”, since it is “against the law as it has been against every law that has allowed progress in equality and women’s rights “.

“First they vote against all of them; if they succeed, they appeal to the courts and then they are the first to benefit from the rights that appear in the laws: the first to get divorced or to marry between people of the same sex. Or did we not see Rajoy dancing at Maroto’s wedding?”, he questioned.
