Patty Brard (68) will vote for the first time in her life during the Televizier election. She is not going for André Hazes Jr., who says he deserves the Ring, but for another title.
Now that the Netherlands is slowly returning from vacation, the television world is already starting to look forward to the annual presentation of the Televizier awards. According to folk singer André Hazes Jr., the Gouden Televizier-Ring should go to him this year for the documentary about all his struggles and addictions. He even hires voters.
Patty goes for B&B
Patty Brard will vote for the first time this year, but not for Hazes. She goes for B&B Vol Love. “How popular is this program? Whoever I sit with and whoever I talk to, it’s all about B&B Vol Liefde. Today tweeted even Gijs Groenteman thought it deserves the Nipkow disc and that is quite a bit from his mouth.”

I think it’s really amazing that they managed to get it to a level that you really think: this is so camp that it’s no longer a big deal that you think this is a really amazing series.
‘I’m really going to vote’
Will the Nipkow disk succeed? Patty: “I think that Nipkow disc is a bit ambitious, but that Televizier-Ring… I’ve never voted, but I’m really going to vote for B&B Vol Love, because it’s really incredibly well made.”
Colleague Bart Ettekoven: “They simply deserve it, because it really is the most talked-about program of this year.”
Patty: “They are still in the top thirty, so we can all vote for this program and I really think they deserve it. Really nice for once with all those candidates to that show.”
‘quite sour’
Bart: “Who will win that prize? Because Art is actually not really the presenter anymore. Then I think: then you have such a TV hit and then you are removed from it. That’s pretty sour. We have to make it a very crazy year anyway. Then we let Marco Borsato sing the opening of the Televizier gala.”
Patty: “Delicious! Being free! Just pop it in a little bit. But everyone vote B&B Vol Love, because I’m in favour. We are going to campaign.”
