Patty Brard thinks it’s great that Rijnmond-bobo Ruud van Os is being brutally ‘overruled’ by Rob Stenders, the station owner of Radio Veronica. “I like it so much,” said the television diva.
The regional radio station Rijnmond stopped in April after no less than twenty years with the radio program of Johan Derksen, because of his statements during the candle riot. Editor-in-chief Ruud van Os looked up every camera to tell him he dropped it; he even stuttered in the talk show of Eva Jinek.
Johan goes daily
In the meantime, no one is really talking about that candle riot anymore and Johan makes the biggest step in his radio career so far: he gets a daily program on Radio Veronica.
It makes Johan happy. Rijnmond can be stolen from him. “Everyone wants to be good and politically correct these days. After such an incident you know very well who your friends are and who are not”, he responds.
good directors
Weekend boss Bart Ettekoven is happy for Johan, he tells the Shownieuws desk. “Nice to hear that he is going national again, because of course there were all those good directors at one point after that candle riot who all started shouting…”
Bart was really annoyed by that Ruud van Rijnmond. “I saw a stuttering director of Rijnmond who immediately said: ‘Oh no, that’s no longer possible! We canceled it!’ While he has made programs there for years.”
“He’s sorry!”
Such a person as Ruud must be sorry now, Bart thinks. “These good directors who all immediately followed the crowd, couldn’t think for themselves and were all terrified that they would be judged on the fact that Johan Derksen worked for them.”
He continues: “They will all have regrets like hairs on their heads now, I guess, because that riot is forgotten and forgiven. You don’t hear about that anymore.”
Patty lashes out
Patty Brard thinks the same. Sniggering: “That’s why I like it so much that those good directors are now simply overruled by a national radio station.”
Johan worked completely free for Rijnmond. Nowadays, non-stop music can be heard in its place.
