The world stars that André Hazes jr. likes to emulate often sell out their concerts in a few minutes, but according to Patty Brard that is far from the case for him. “It won’t go smoothly.”
André Hazes jr. announced last Monday, amid the plagiarism riot surrounding his new single, a concert in Ahoy, sometime in November. The folk singer must have hoped that after an hour a jubilant press release could be issued about the fact that all tickets have been sold, but nothing could be further from the truth. It doesn’t want to go smoothly with ticket sales at all.
Andre’s blunder
What exactly goes wrong? Patty Brard analyzes the situation Show news. She points out that André no longer wants to make folk music and has instituted a ‘ban on waving hands’. “But then he should not have done Holland Zingt Hazes recently and maybe that is why he wanted to get out of it,” she says.
Patty refers to the rumor that André wanted to cancel his performance at Holland Zingt Hazes because of a disagreement with his mother Rachel. Finally he was there last month. “He should have done a theater tour with just his new music, just like Rox did. Paradiso tasty, 013, the Horse. He should have done that, like: this is me.”
Ticket sales are not running
People now have no idea what to expect from André, says Patty. “If you guided him image-wise, I would have gone all the way. So then you have completely different music and then you do a theater tour for small venues and build that new image.”
She continues: “That is probably also the reason that ticket sales in Ahoy are not really going wild yet, that we just saw it in Holland Zingt Hazes.”
Moment given away
William Rutten, who regularly photographs concerts, also finds it inconvenient. “They gave the moment away. His big moment should have been his own concert in an Ahoy. And now that moment has actually already happened, so the urgency to all go back to Ahoy is just less.”
Did André actually have any news for the Shownieuws camera? Yes. He’s going to get an earring. “I saw a guy recently and he had one of those earring with a cross. A little one. I thought: Jesus, I think that’s cool.”
Fantastic. Hopefully he can show him on a talk show soon. Will this never end?
