Patty Brard advocates better filled goodie bags for celebrities. According to the TV diva, the bags that stars receive when they go to a party, premiere or event are getting worse and worse.
It has been a thorn in the side of Patty Brard for some time: the goodie bags that celebrities receive are less and less well filled. A kind of shrink inflation: the same packaging, but less content. According to the Shownieuws diva, she and fellow stars should be pampered a little better, because it also costs a lot to go to such a premiere.
‘Yes, hello!’
While the ordinary people in the country wonder if they can still pay the energy bill, Patty complains about the goodie bags that are less and less well filled. “I have to tell you that at every party you go to, you always get a bag from the organizer if you have been,” she begins her complaint in Show news.
Receiving such a bag is more than justified, says Patty. “Because you spent I don’t know how much money on make-up, dresses and everything. Those bags are always scarce in the Netherlands and that is becoming increasingly scarce. Recently I was somewhere and then I think: yes, then you get a copy of the magazine and a tube of toe cream or something. Then I think: yes, hello!”
No chance
Colleague Ronald Molendijk finds celebrities who score goodie bags a bit dubious. “I’m going anyway never to a premiere, I think that’s really hopeless. If you go the next day you pay ten euros and then you are in a very normal room and you can sit very relaxed. Then you also have to stand in front of a sign with all those brand names. Bah!”
Patty argues that stars are much better taken care of in America. “There is a goodie bag, a trunk. (…) That seems so nice to me instead of a magazine with a bit of cream that you get here.”
$100,000
The biggest stars present at the Oscars will receive a very luxurious goodie bag, Patty knows. “There’s just $100,000 worth of stuff in there. All kinds of vouchers. With one thing you go to some fantastic resort in Italy. Really not normal anymore. And also for 10,000 euros vouchers to have your face sprayed!”
Well, Patty doesn’t need that last one anymore. Saves again.
