Patty Brard breaks with Yolanthe live on TV: ‘You’re making me ridiculous’

Last night, Patty Brard broke with Yolanthe Cabau’s foundation live on television, and apparently also with the actress herself. “I actually just feel ridiculed.”

Very striking television last night Show news: the big star of the show section, Patty Brard, took the time to settle a personal complaint with Yolanthe Cabau and her Free A Girl foundation. This charity has existed for fifteen years and this will be celebrated at the end of the month in Yolanthe’s villa in Ibiza.

One thousand euros

Patty is also invited. “I thought: well, how sweet that she thinks of me. It said: ‘Everyone has to pay a thousand euros to get in there, but of course not you, because you are a friend of the foundation and of Yo.’ I thought, well, how sweet. I hadn’t even thought about it yet: how strange, because I would also like to pay those thousand euros.”

And then? “Then two days ago I received an email that I could come in, that I was placed among all the people who did pay and that I had to sign a quit claim that I would never say anything about this at the table or anywhere else. what happens there that evening because of the privacy of the people and what they donate there.”

Penalty payment

There is even a penalty attached, according to Patty. “Five thousand euros! So I emailed back: ‘In that case I won’t come, because if a gossip soon gets out into the world because I don’t know who was there, I will be fined.’ It’s not about the five thousand euros that matters to me. In fact, I thought it was such a stupid amount.”

After all, you can’t stop leaks with that amount of money, says Patty. “But actually I just felt ridiculed, because you don’t have to pay a thousand euros, but ‘just come and sit down’. So I’m part of the entourage. I think that’s crazy, actually, in retrospect.”

No Christmas ball

And secondly? “I find it very strange that I am invited somewhere as a friend of the foundation that I have always supported and of the people whose homes I have been to before and then have to pay and sign that I say nothing further about it. Have you ever been to a party and never said what it was like? Isn’t that very strange?”

Presenter Dyantha Brooks: “You get the feeling that they wouldn’t trust you.”

Patty: “Well, I just like the idea that you are filler because you are a celebrity because you are sitting here… And then you are sitting here and then I am not allowed to say that I have been there. Well, I thank you very much for that because I am not a Christmas ball.”

Personal connection

Does this affect the personal bond with Yolanthe? “I do not give a hoot. I think the work that Yolanthe does is very good, I think Yolanthe is a nice person, I think that foundation if she has the success with it that they say they have, is completely fine, but I think that there is a PR technical problem. something else goes completely wrong with that foundation.”

She continues: “The person presenting it is Nino Wilkes, the son of Rosanna Kluivert, who works at Boulevard and is best friends with all the juice channels. And then I have to sign for five thousand euros, while I was simply honored that I was invited there at all? I wish them all a pleasant match, but don’t call me.”

What does Yo say?

What does Yolanthe’s Free A Girl foundation say? They respond: “All guests are invited as ‘good friends of the foundation’ and not as media persons. They are extra careful after being exposed negatively to Yvonne Coldeweijer a few times and the fuss surrounding Romy Monteiro’s ambassadorship.”

They continue: “There will also be a 15th anniversary party in the Netherlands. Entrepreneurs have also received an email that it is not appreciated that selfies etc. are taken and shared. And ‘media people’ like Patty have been given an NDA to ensure they are there as a person and not for the media.”

“Just call me!”

Patty doesn’t think it’s a good reaction. “I want to do everything for them, but the fact that they also say: ‘Everyone has received a letter.’ No, two letters went out! It’s the dumbest thing you can do PR-wise. Then you just call me: ‘Not on the grounds of Show News.’ I wish them a nice match with that Nino over there.”

Did she receive a text from Yolanthe? “I hope it will happen, but I just have my serious doubts about whoever is in charge of PR there. I hope that Yolanthe also hears this and she will, but a) never call me again, because I am not a Christmas ball and b) I would pay attention to how you communicate this from now on, because this is not good.”
