The Columbus Blue Jackets’ Finnish star Patrik Laine sends blunt greetings to his executioner.

Calgary Flames Rasmus Andersson tackled Laine in the head in a meeting between the teams at the end of October.

Andersson was banned for four games for his tackle. Laine, on the other hand, has been sidelined for nine games due to a concussion.

Laine commented on Andersson’s tackle on Friday after Columbus’ ice practice. He considered it “unnecessary”.

On Friday, Laine was in full ice practice for the first time since Andersson’s tackle.

Laine is hopeful that he could play already this weekend.
