The Finnish star forward of the Columbus Blue Jackets, who are preparing for the NHL season Patrick Laine participated in the club’s media conference on Monday and commented on the team’s new head coach Pascal Vincent.

– I’ve known him since I went to Winnipeg when I was 18. I’m really excited and I told him right away. I haven’t been this excited in a long time. I’m really happy for him, Laine said the Blue Jackets’ spokesperson Jeff Svobodan by.

Vincent was washed up as the head coach of the Blue Jackets at high speed because Mike Babcock was allowed to leave the club due to questionable coaching methods.

The team’s training camp starts on Wednesday. A lot is expected of Laine, who scored 379 power points in 462 NHL regular season games, in the coming season.

– I feel old when I look Adam Fantill and other dudes. This is my eighth year (in the NHL) now,” Laine said.

Born in 2004, Fantilli is the Blue Jackets’ first-round pick from the summer.

Fantilli, who arrived in Columbus at the end of August, has been staying with Laine and her girlfriend.

A spokesperson for the Blue Jackets said on Twitter that Laine was wearing a beanie at Monday’s media conference and commented on his choice of outfit when asked.

– If you saw my hair, you would want me to put the hat back on my head, Laine blurted out.
