Three-time world champion all-round makes a sensitive transfer
AMSTERDAM – The skating world was shaken up on Friday evening by a very sensitive transfer. After seven years under coach Jac Orie, Patrick Roest (26) leaves top team Jumbo-Visma for the major competitor Reggeborgh, where Gerard van Velde holds sway. “I had a great and successful time at Jumbo-Visma, but after the Olympics I got the feeling that I was ready for a new challenge,” explains Roest.
