Patrick Kluivert is interested in a job as Ajax coach: ‘I am ready’ | Dutch football

Kluivert says in a conversation with ESPN that he “absolutely” wants to get back to work as a coach. ,,If a good project is going on somewhere, I want to be the head coach there”, says the former striker of Ajax, Orange and FC Barcelona. “I am now looking at what an interesting option could be.”

At the moment Kluivert has no permanent appointment. In the past, he worked as an assistant to Louis van Gaal at the Dutch national team, director of football affairs at Paris Saint-Germain and head of training at FC Barcelona.

An appointment at Ajax is therefore suitable for Kluivert. ,,If God wants me to become an Ajax trainer, why not?’, he answers when asked. ,,I’m ready.”

Erik ten Hag has been at the helm of the team from Amsterdam for more than four years. In recent months, his name has increasingly been linked to a summer transfer to a foreign top club.
