Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg (RBB) just can’t get out of the negative headlines. Now it’s also about the company car of director Patricia Schlesinger.
Completely devoid of any sensitivity, she affords herself an outrageously expensive luxury sled, the largest Audi in the A series, including all the bells and whistles. She even uses it to send her chauffeur around on a private basis.
It seems as if the director has lost all traction. After all, the RBB is one of the small broadcasters within the ARD.
On the one hand, under their aegis, the program is severely cut back in order to make it more cost-effective, which in turn offends the freelancers in particular. On the other hand, the boss seems to misunderstand her station as a self-service shop.
But: The RBB is a non-profit legal institution under public law – and has an educational mission to fulfill!
In order to avert further damage from RBB, Schlesinger should vacate her post as soon as possible and clear the way for a fresh start.
