The Wilhelmina Hospital Assen (WZA) is in the top 10 of the best valued hospitals in the Netherlands. ZorgkaartNederland collected the ratings of patients between January 1 and November 1 of this year. The top 10 is in no particular order.
Mirjam Mulder of the WZA sees it as a great compliment. “ZorgkaartNederland is an appreciation site for patients, similar to what you have for hotels and holidays.” According to Mulder, the WZA scores on average higher than a 9 across all departments.
Patients can also indicate what they appreciate about the hospital. “The hospital is personal, communication is clear and they feel connected,” says Mulder. “These are the same values that we attach to our hospital.” To celebrate the top 10 ranking, the entrance to the hospital was festively decorated.
ZorgkaartNederland values not only hospitals, but also physiotherapy, nursing homes, district nursing and clinics. There are no Drenthe care companies in the top 10 in those categories. TSN Thuiszorg from Zwolle is in the top 10 of district nursing. They also have offices and nurses in Drenthe.
