Unbelievable but true: Samantha Steenwijk rakes up her diet pill war with Yvonne Coldeweijer in a major interview with the Beau Monde. The result? The juice queen strikes back hard.
Samantha ‘long toes’ Steenwijk has had a turbulent year. In March, the singer made a huge fuss of a relatively innocent diet pill gossip on Yvonne Coldeweijer’s juice channel. She started a whole legal circuswhere even her then colleagues from RTL Boulevard really didn’t understand anything at all.
In the eyes
Although we are now nine months further, Samantha decides to stir things up again in a big interview with the Beau Monde. “I tell my story once and then I never want to hear about it again,” she says.
When asked what it was like sitting across from Yvonne in court, Samantha says: “In court I tried to look at her for almost the entire session. I thought that if she looked me in the eye once, she would see the pain she had caused. When you look someone in the eye, you see what you do with a person and with someone’s work.”
Pathetic girl
What harm had she caused? Exaggeration is also an art. Yvonne only said that Samantha lost weight with the help of diet pills and not, as the singer claimed, by riding a horse. A gossip that only received media attention when Samantha herself started her aggressive toga circus.
All in all, Yvonne did not look into her eyes during the session, says Samantha. “She didn’t and I thought that was cowardly. Actually, she is a very pathetic girl who has tried in all kinds of ways to break through herself. She never managed to do that and out of frustration she just gossip about others to become known herself.”
No regrets
Samantha accusing someone else of breaking through in all sorts of ways… That’s pretty funny for someone who has actually finished every talent show on television. For the time being, Yvonne is in any case successful with its own content, where Samantha does not get further than the imitation of André Hazes.
Doesn’t Samantha secretly just regret the juice business that damaged her image so much? No. “It is not okay if harmful gossip is spread about you that is not true. Suppose she brings out something again that can harm other people, like with those drug pills, I would do it again in a heartbeat.”
Drug pills
Ah, Samantha turns it into drug pills to exacerbate the situation. Did those “drug pills” rumors actually cost her bookings? No, she says. “It has only gotten busier. When I was on stage for the first time after the pill story, I noticed that the applause only became more intense.”
She continues: “During all my performances I sing ‘I live my own life’ by André Hazes and I have never received such a big applause as I get today.”
Yvonne strikes back
Yvonne obviously hits back hard at Samantha. She brings today on her juice channel a real juice strip. She lets a speech bubble come out of Samantha’s mouth with the text: “Why isn’t anyone talking about me anymore ? Let me say something about Yv then I’m relevant again.”
Then Yvonne says as herself: “People really only know you from the lawsuit with me.”
Samantha: “Oh yes that’s true. Thank you very much. By the way, you look good Yv. Even though we are the same age.”
Yvonne: “Thnx babe.”
