Passengers who could not fly from Almaty to Moscow spent the whole night on the plane. One of the passengers of the Boeing 767 of Air Astana, Vladimir, informed RBC about this.
According to him, they were able to leave the board only in the morning at 11 o’clock. In total, there were about 50 Russians on the plane, they were placed in a hotel near the airport.

Initially, the departure was supposed to be on January 5 at 18:55 local time (15:55 Moscow time).
On the evening of January 5, protesters seized the Almaty airport, the largest in Kazakhstan, after which airlines began canceling flights to Almaty. The passengers were evacuated from the terminal.
The Boeing 767, which was on the runway at the time, lost contact with the airport.
