It’s party time at the Goois Lyceum in Bussum: the final exams are finally over for most students. The students are overjoyed: “We fought hard!”
The most exciting days of high school are over for most students. The central final exams are finally done! Only the exams of the subjects Frisian, Turkish, Russian, Spanish and Arabic will be taken on Tuesday. Most students of the Goois Lyceum are already done and very happy.
Pink cakes, marches, bags of popcorn and lollipops are ready as the students walk out of the exam hall. This candy table is prepared every day after the exams by the parents of the students and offered by the Goois Lyceum.
Hard work starts now
It’s done for students, but the teachers can now start the hard work. The final exams must be marked. As a result, Geography teacher Bas de Koning will not be enjoying the sun this weekend: “The grading is a big job, but it is the best job. I have to give up part of my Pentecost weekend for it.”
And all the students can do is keep their fingers crossed. They will hear on June 14 whether they have passed. Until then, they have wild plans: “I’m going to Cherso with the men!”
