The horror thriller “Bird Box” with Sandra Bullock gets another part five years after its release. A sequel is still a long way off, but the spin-off will be released on Netflix on July 14 under the name “Bird Box: Barcelona”. Mario Casas, Georgina Campbell and Diego Calva are expected to play the leading roles. Directed by David and Àlex Pastor (Carriers, The Last Days).

Netflix has released the first trailer for the sequel to the hit.
Why is? An uncanny and inexplicable force causes all people around the world who have seen ‘it’ to commit suicide. But until the survivors of the apocalypse realize how they can avert the danger, at least for the time being, countless people will die – including on the streets of Barcelona. Sebastián (Mario Casas) is trying to get himself and his daughter Anna (Alejandra Howard) to safety in this chaotic death throes where everyone is their own man. But there is a far greater danger lurking out there than the unknown power.

“Bird Box – Close Your Eyes” is a horror thriller by Susanne Bier. Leading roles include Sandra Bullock as Malorie, John Malkovich as Douglas and Machine Gun Kelly as Felix.
Set in a post-apocalyptic time, the flick is based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Josh Malerman. The film has two timelines that alternate frequently: the events in a house where some survivors have fled to and five years later taking place trip of Malorie with two children.
