Parquet confirms: scratch card 250,000 euros justified. Transmigrant still has to wait for his money

The search for the man and the scratch card had been going on for a while. The bizarre story surfaced late last month. A transmigrant bought a scratch card in a supermarket in Zeebrugge. That turned out to be the winning ticket of 250,000 euros. But since then, both the man and the lottery have gone missing. Until last Friday.

Just waiting for the money

Three men then offered themselves to the National Lottery. With the winning scratch card in your pocket. But the winner himself was not present. The three were briefly arrested, until the winner and his lawyer also turned up. The scratch card is currently with the Bruges police. The man will also effectively receive his winning sum of 250,000 euros. Whether he has valid residence documents or not, it does not matter in this case. But the police keep the lottery ticket until the man finds a way to get his money. This is not transferred in cash, but usually with a deposit into an account.
