Parliamentary committee: much criticism of Van Quickenborne
According to the police unions, the prosecutor’s office does not take violence against the police seriously, they demand Van Quickenborne’s resignation. The minister now says that he wants to punish violence against the police more severely. He wants to do this, among other things, by introducing bodycams. Zone Westkust was the first to test those cameras on their uniforms. According to the minister, every police zone should have one.
