Mitte prefers to spend more than 175,000 euros to prevent cars than to plan the money in other sensible ways.
As a reminder: Mitte is also complaining about financial difficulties and imposed a budget freeze in June. 30 parking machines were set up on Müllerstrasse for a year, and are now being removed again. Because the parking spaces for a bike path were deleted.
When asked whether it could not have been done without, the district does not argue with the additional income that could be generated. No – a run for free parking spaces had to be prevented.
This is politics against its own citizens.
