A car that was parked along Ringweg Randenbroek in Amersfoort caught fire around 13:40 on Saturday afternoon.
The fire brigade was quickly on the spot to extinguish the fire, but the car still suffered significant damage. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
The last weeks are going in Amersfoort remarkably many cars in flames. Last week burned in the Albatros Street in Liendert and in the Lekstraat in the Soesterkwatier cars off. Before that it was hit in the Graaf Lodewijklaan, the Gravin van Burenlaan, the Leusderweg and Achter de Kamp. And then there are the dozens of shared scooters and bicycles that went up in flames in recent months.
The police said earlier that they would ‘investigate all cases’. “These investigations have not yet led to a perpetrator or perpetrators. It is therefore impossible to say whether there is one and the same perpetrator,” said a spokesperson a week and a half ago.
