The possible move of Kylian Mbappé from Paris Saint-Germain to Real Madrid is not an issue in the PSG dressing room, according to ex-Bayern star Lucas Hernández. Things look completely different in the Royal dressing room.
The impending mega transfer from Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid is a constant topic not only in fan circles and the media, but also within the team of the Champions League record winners from Spain.
After Los Blancos’ 1-0 win against RB Leipzig in the first leg of the round of 16, Aurélien Tchouaméni was asked about his colleague from the French national team. His answer: “Is Mbappé coming to Real Madrid? He didn’t tell me. And even if he had, I wouldn’t tell you.”
Real cabin talks about Mbappé
However, Tchouaméni did not want to deny that the PSG superstar’s name is regularly mentioned internally at Royal. “Yes, we’re talking about it in the dressing room because it’s an important topic. Hopefully we’ll know more in the next few weeks,” the Real star said.
Ex-Bayern star Lucas Hernández assured last week that Mbappé’s possible departure was not an issue, at least in the PSG dressing room. The Parisian team “didn’t want to annoy” the striker, the defender said.
Whether this is true can at least be doubted, after all, the PSG future is closely linked to that of Mbappé.
Mbappé’s future has not yet been decided
What exactly that future looks like is still not clear. According to reports, the 25-year-old has still not decided where he wants to continue his career. At least that’s what numerous reputable sources claim. And PSG boss Al-Khelaifi also repeats week after week that nothing has been decided in poker yet.
From the club side, however, there is a great deal of silence in Madrid. The usually talkative President Florentino Pérez does not comment on the issue. And coach Carlo Ancelotti usually brushes off questions about Mbappé with one sentence. Real only made a statement a few weeks ago when it was said that the club had reached an agreement with Mbappé. The Madrilenians denied this in an official press release.
