D.fter New York, London and Milan the big tour (de force) of the fashion industry finally arrives Paris. Scheduled from Monday 26 September to Tuesday 4 October, the Paris Fashion Week dedicated to the season Spring-Summer 2023 promises to be full of events, shows and collections not to be missed. In addition to the social channels of the fashion houses, the PFW fashion shows will be streamed on the sito of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Modethe organizing body.
Chanel, Valentino, Balenciaga: the big names on the calendar
Unlike London and Milan, where emerging designers and fledgling labels find space, the Paris calendar is dotted with historic and well-known fashion houses. Tuesday 27 September we start with Christian Diorwhose setting often becomes a contemporary art installation, e Saint Laurent, which usually parades under the lights of the Eiffel Tower. Sunday 2 October will be the day of Balenciaga And Valentinowhile Chanel, Miu Miu And Louis Vuitton will animate the last day of the show, as per tradition for PFW. In between, renowned Japanese designers, from Comme des Garçons and Junya Watanabe to Yohji Yamamoto, Noir Kei Ninomiya and Undercover.
The names not to be missed
How The Rowwho since last season left NYFW in favor of Paris, too Victoria Beckham is preparing for its debut on the French catwalks, after having been part of the London calendar for many years. He will be the first time at PFW for too Zimmermann And AWAKE MODE. Great expectations, however, for the show of Issey Miyakethe first after the death of the beloved designer.
Among the lesser-known names to keep an eye on it stands out Ester Manasa maison founded in 2019 by Ester Manas and Balthazar Delepierre, which stands out for its inclusive castings, a design that embraces and celebrates every body and the vocation for sustainability.
As usual, in support of Paris Fashion Week, L’Oréal Paris will stage a unique show. On Sunday 2 October in the setting of the École Militaire, the parade entitled Walk Your Worth will see the most famous faces of the brand alternate on the catwalk, including Leïla Bekhti, Eva Longoria, Andie MacDowell, Soo Joo Park, Camille Razat and Yseult.
