Paris Fashion Week 2022, the fashion shows calendar

S.i closes the Milan Fashion Week, opens the Paris Fashion Week Fall Winter 2022/2023. The French fashion shows dedicated to womenswear will hold the spot from 28 February to 8 March, with a full calendar of events and appointments. I’m 45 the Maisons that have chosen the show in attendance, from Louis Vuitton to Chanel to Dior to Saint Laurent: in official schedule of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, 95 brands, with 37 presentations and 13 digital-only events.

How to see the shows of Paris Fashion Week 2022

With the Omicron situation under control, much of the Paris fashion week will therefore take place live, for the public of insiders (China still blocked, while the shadow of war falls on Russia). Brands are increasingly aiming at live streaming to make the shows accessible to a wide audience. On official Instagram accounts, on YouTube and on dedicated online platform all the shows of the Paris Fashion Week Fall Winter 2022/2023 will be broadcast.

Live fashion shows not to be missed

To open the calendar on February 28 at 8 pm, the first Off-White show without Virgil Ablohwhich will pay tribute to the late founder of the brand, who passed away last November.

To follow, a parade of big names: Louis Vuittonwhich traditionally closes the fashion week, will show on the penultimate day, the March 7. The expectation is growing for Chanel fashion shows, star of the last day, Dior (March 1), Balmain (March 2), Chloé (3rd March), GivenchyValentino and Balenciaga (March 6), Stella McCartney (March 7), Miu Miu (8th of March).

Returns and debuts

Among the new entries of the big names, The Row, which returns to the Parisian schedule with a fashion show: the label founded in 2006 by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will be staged on March 2nd at 11:30 am. The last fashion show, in the castle of Courances near Paris in 2015.

Vtmntsthe new Vetements launched in 2021, will perform for the first time on March 4 with the sole guidance of Guram Gvasalia as creative director, without his brother Demna.

The absent

Almost everyone is there at Paris Fashion Week Fall Winter 2022/2023. Including those who, lately, had got into the habit of parading off the calendar. The only one who continues to prefer the off-schedule mode is Celinewhich is not on the list. Hedi Slimane presented the latest Spring Summer 2022 collection for the French brand with the video Baie des Angesdirected by himself and set in Nice, between the Promenade des Anglais and the Osservartorio, in December 2021. Lanvin instead, after the last Spring Summer 2022 fashion show, he opts for digital. Also absent from the official calendar Lacoste, Mugler And Paco Rabanne. Phoebe Philo’s unknown always remainswhich after announcing its new brand has not yet defined the presentation methods.

The new names

Among the new names to keep an eye on this season’s catwalk, Esther Manas by Ester Manas and Balthazar Delepierre, with a physical show on March 5th, followed by Germanier, Vaquera and the Austrian Petar Petrov.

In the official parade program, the federation welcomes the German Anne Isabella, for the first time in Paris; but also a CFCLfounded by former Issey Miyake Men art director Yusuke Takahashi e Maitrepierre, the eponymous brand of the French designer Alphonse Maitrepierre. Eyes also on the sustainable Hungarian fashion brand Nanushkaloved by the It Girls, who show on the second day, and the Belgian designer Meryll Rogge.

In the end, Ruifounded by Chinese designer Rui Zhou, one of the winners of the Karl Lagerfeld Special Jury Prize at LVMH Prize 2021.
