Parents of deceased baby William raise money for research into Menkes syndrome

Three months ago, baby William died of a rare disease. The boy from Bruges was barely 14 months old. His parents are now raising money for research into Menkes syndrome. Before the death they had already collected money for the treatment, but they still had to say goodbye to William. They now hope that other parents don’t have to go through the same thing. “William was a fighter – that’s why the lion became his symbol – and he passed on that fighting spirit to us. He was small, but he moved a lot. And we don’t want to lose that.”
