Paralympics: Third medal for teenager Kazmaier

Zhangjiakou (AP) – 15-year-old Linn Kazmaier won her third medal at the Paralympics in Beijing. In the cross-country sprint for the visually impaired, the youngest German participant secured third place with guide Florian Baumann in China.

Kazmaier previously won silver medals in biathlon and over 10 kilometers in cross-country skiing. The Austrian Carina Edlinger became the Paralympic champion ahead of Oksana Schischkowa from the Ukraine. One day after her surprising success in biathlon, Leonie Walter finished fourth with guide Pirmin Strecker.
