Second gold for Japanese Muraoka

Muraoka, who started the race with starting number two, fought a tight duel with Forster. Sometimes the German was ahead in the intermediate times, sometimes the Japanese. At the finish, Muraoka’s display lit up “green” – the second gold medal in Beijing for the 2018 Paralympic giant slalom winner.

More German women miss podium

There was no medal for the German team in the women’s standing super-G. Anna-Maria Rieder in fifth and Andrea Rothfuss missed the podium. Marburg’s Noemi Ristau was fifth among the visually impaired.
