Gina Böttcher provided the sixth German medal at the Para World Championships in Singapore.

The 24-year-old from Brandenburg (SC Potsdam) swam in third place in the SM4 start class on Tuesday and still secured bronze in 2: 59.26 minutes thanks to a strong closing track. For the Potsdamer, it is the third World Cup medal of her career, and last year she won silver over 50 meters at the Paralympics in Paris.

Malte Braunschweig is fourth

The German team in Singapore is thus with six medals, four of them in gold. For further podiums, the starters of the German Disabled Sports Association were missing only one touch on Tuesday. Verena Schott became fourth over 200 meters in the SM6 class eight months after her third child was born, only a second was missing too precious metal.

Malte Braunschweig (Berlin swimming team) over 100 meters butterfly from the start class S9 and Maike Naomi Schwarz over 50 meters freestyle of the visually impaired fetched fourth places.
