Actor Tom Wilkinson has died at the age of 75.
Actor Tom Wilkinson has died at the age of 75, reports BBC.
According to a press release received by the BBC, the actor died suddenly at home on Saturday, December 30. Wilkinson’s wife Diane Hardcastle and the family was present at the time of death.
Wilkinson is remembered, among other things, for the role of Gerald in the favorite comedy film Pants off! (1997).

Wilkinson was born in Leeds, England, but also lived in Canada and Cornwall as a child.
His passion for acting was ignited at the age of 18, when Wilkinson was asked to direct a play.

Since then, Wilkinson studied at the prestigious theater school, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
Wilkinson had a long career in theater and television. Wilkinson’s numerous role performances include the films Black Knight, Rush Hour Rankka pari, Patriot and Batman Begins as well as the television series Kennedyt and John Adams. For the latter, Wilkinson was awarded both a Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy award.
Wilkinson was nominated for an Academy Award for her roles in Michael Clayton (2007) and Satime (2001).
