Midfielder Milos Pantovic has expressed disappointment with his situation at 1. FC Union.
“I was still there for the first two friendlies, now suddenly not anymore. Being outside while everyone else is playing is tough and a bit surprising,” the 27-year-old told Sport1. “The feedback from the sporting management was actually positive recently. It is surprising that things are now going in this direction.”
The enormous competition in the midfield of the Köpenicker has intensified after the signing of Lucas Tousart. “But I accept the situation and don’t shy away from the challenge,” said Pantovic. “I’m ambitious, I want to play and I’m ready to fight. But it has to be fair. I wasn’t able to show myself last season and didn’t get a real chance.”
The Serb moved from VfL Bochum to Berlin last summer, but only made 14 competitive appearances, none from the start. There has been speculation about a departure from Berlin for some time.
